RISO COPY MACHINES & DUPLICATORS
RISO Copy Machines, Supplied and Serviced Across South Africa
Schools, campuses and law firms run RISO because the cost per copy falls as the volume climbs. We supply the machines, stock the masters and ink, and send a technician when it matters.
Tell us what you print each month and we'll quote the right machine. Call-back within 2 hours during office hours.
Why a RISO Copy Machine Costs Less to Run Than a Copier
The crossover is around 25 copies.
A RISO is a digital duplicator, not a photocopier. It burns your original onto a master, wraps that master around a drum, and pushes ink through it — so the first copy carries almost all the cost and every copy after it is a fraction of a cent.
A copier charges you the same for copy 1 and copy 10 000. Above roughly 25 copies of the same page, the maths stops being close.
| Copier / MFP | RISO duplicator | |
|---|---|---|
| Cost per copy | Flat, whatever the run length | Falls as the run gets longer |
| Best at | Short runs, mixed jobs, scanning and email | Long runs of the same page |
| Warm-up | Needs to reach fusing temperature | None — no heat in the print path |
| Power draw | Often above 3 000 W | 700–1 000 W typical |
| Consumables | Toner, drum, fuser, transfer belt | Masters and ink |
| Typical job | A 4-page contract, twice | 600 exam papers, this morning |
Most clients run both: the copier for desk work, the RISO for volume — our photocopy machine price deals cover the copier side.
One number,
every device
Desk phone, laptop, cellphone — the same extension rings on all three.

An auto-attendant
Press 1 for sales, 2 for accounts.” You sound like a company, not a spare room.

Voicemail to email
Every message lands in the inbox as audio and text. Nothing sits unheard.

Call recording as standard
Settle a disputed order in ninety seconds, not an afternoon.

Exam Papers Due Monday and the Duplicator Is Down?
You are not looking for a machine. You are looking for the certainty that 4 000 pages will exist by the time they are needed.
That certainty is what breaks first — rarely because RISO built a bad machine.
- Masters and ink run out mid-run, because nobody is tracking consumption against your term dates
- The technician is three days away, and the deadline is tomorrow
- Nobody explains the running cost, so the bursar approves a machine and inherits a consumables bill
- The machine is wrong for the volume — an A4-only unit bought for a department that needs A3
- A power cut stops the print room, and the backlog never quite clears
Still Running the Office Off Three Cellphones and a Telkom Line?
It works right up until it doesn't. Then a client phones during a site visit, gets voicemail, and phones your competitor instead — and you never find out it happened.
The switch gets put off because the last quote came with a hardware bill and an installer who wanted to drill through the boardroom wall.

What You Need to Order a RISO Machine
To buy outright: A purchase order or written approval, a delivery address with lift or ground-floor access, and your monthly volume estimate. That's it.
To rent or lease: A registered company or institution trading two years or more, CIPC registration documents, a letter on your letterhead, bank confirmation, director IDs, and either financial statements or three months' bank statements.
- Send us your monthly page volume, formats and any finishing requirements
- We return a written quote with the machine, the consumables and the cost per copy
- You approve, and we run the credit application if you're renting
- We deliver, install and train on site
- Your service agreement starts the day the machine does
Most installations happen within days of approval. Schools: tell us your term dates and we'll work backwards from them.
What You Need to Order a RISO Machine
Representative entry-level duplicator — RISO SF5030E:
| Spec | Figure |
|---|---|
| Print speed | Up to 130 pages per minute |
| Paper size | A4 |
| Resolution | 300 x 600 dpi |
| Paper capacity | 1 000 sheets |
| Paper weights | 46 gsm to 157 gsm |
| Power consumption | Max 315 W |
| Maximum monthly volume | 100 000 pages |
- Speed: up to 185 pages per minute in mono and up to 160 in full colour, depending on model
- Security: PIN and user-code access so confidential print jobs are released by the person who sent them — relevant for legal and finance clients handling privileged documents
Factors that determine the cost when you are searching for printers for rent quotes:
- The rental term of the copiers.
- The escalation of the lease.
- The format and size of the printer (if it prints in A4 only or both A4 and A3 paper).
- Performance of the copier - page speed per minute.
- Whether the machine prints in black and white (mono) only or both colour and mono.
- The type of finishing options or extras you require.
How We Architect Your Print Room Around the Volume
Four steps, no guesswork. We size the machine to what you actually print, not to what is in stock.

Step 1
Assess
We count what you produce — monthly pages, run lengths, A4 against A3, the peaks around exam weeks or court deadlines. Volume decides the machine, so we start there rather than with a brochure.

Step 2
Design
You get a written recommendation with the model, the finishing options and the true running cost per copy. If a RISO is the wrong answer for part of your output, we say so and put a copier alongside it.

Step 3
Deploy
We deliver, install and set up on site, then train the people who will actually use it. Masters and ink land with the machine, not a week later.

Step 4
Sustain
We monitor consumption and restock before you run dry. Support queries are resolved in a day or less on average, and your service level agreement backs a 24-hour resolution commitment with free loan units during off-site repairs.
Phone System Tiers, From Ten Extensions to a Thousand
Start where you are. The platform is the same at every tier, so growing means adding extensions, not replacing a phone system.
| Tier | Users | Best suited to | What it includes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Essential | 1–10 | A first professional office footprint, or a practice where everyone answers the phone | Auto-attendant, voicemail to email, ring groups, call recording, softphone and mobile app, one business number |
| Growth | 11–50 | A sales floor, a branch office, or a team that has outgrown passing the handset around | Everything in Essential, plus departmental routing, hunt groups, call reporting per extension, and free calling between branches |
| Advanced | 51–100 | Multi-department operations that need to see what's happening on the phones | Everything in Growth, plus call queues, live dashboards, CRM integration and compliance-grade recording |
| Enterprise | 100+ | Multi-site and multi-province operations, contact centre functions | Everything in Advanced, plus contact centre queuing, IVR trees, API access and a dedicated account engineer |
Add-on worth asking about — Backup power. Every cloud provider will tell you that during loadshedding your calls fail over to staff cellphones. That's a workaround, not a fix: your desk phones and router are still dead. Because we also fit solar and backup power, we can quote the UPS or inverter alongside the system — a separate add-on, not bundled into the tiers above, and the reason our clients' phones ring when their neighbours' don't.
What You Need to Get Started
What you'll need
- A registered company, trading two years or more
- CIPC registration documents and a company letterhead
- Bank confirmation letter and director IDs
- Latest financials, or three months' bank statements
- A working internet connection — fibre or LTE, and we'll tell you honestly if yours won't carry the call volume
The steps
- Send us your extension count; we send a written proposal
- Approve it and complete the finance application
- We submit your number port and configure the platform
- Handsets arrive pre-configured; we install and train on site
- Your SLA begins
Most small offices are live in 5 to 10 working days. Number porting runs 2 to 6 weeks independently of us, so you go live on a temporary number and the port completes in the background. Nothing stops trading while you wait.
Not sure what you're currently paying for voice? Book the Efficiency Audit and we'll work it out from your bills.
Platform and Compatibility
Spec list — “connectivity” links to /connectivity
- Platform: Bicom Systems, delivered through Centracom on licensed South African voice infrastructure
- Handsets: Yealink IP desk phones, supplied pre-configured. Existing SIP handsets assessed case by case

- Numbering: geographic and 087 numbers, porting supported nationally
- Integrations: CRM and helpdesk, from the Growth tier upward
- Coverage: all nine provinces, on-site support
Stop Missing Calls. Start Answering Properly.
Tell us how many people need to answer a phone and we'll put a written proposal together — one monthly figure, every cost on the page.

Benefits of Our Printers for Rent/Lease
Tax Efficiency
Copier rentals are fully tax deductible. VAT is also paid monthly with each installment instead of being capitalized for upfront.
Budgeting & Money Saving
By leasing office printers, businesses can better control their total cost of ownership. Rental agreements ensure that each month a fixed monthly value is budgeted and paid for by the business. Choosing a rental agreement for your office equipment also alleviates the risk and pressure of large capital expenses.
Maintenance
When leasing a printer, you do not have to worry about any maintenance. This is taken care of by your service providers.
Flexibility
Copier rentals allow for early upgrades, easy budgeting and the addition of new technology as and when it emerges. You are able to scale your printer systems according to the growth of your business.
Life Cycle Management
Like any IT hardware, photocopiers and printers depreciate and become outdated over time. A well implemented rental agreement ensures that your business enjoys maximum value from your printer while ensuring that it is upgraded at the correct time in its lifecycle.

-
How much can we actually save with managed print?
By consolidating your infrastructure under a managed print service, businesses typically reduce overall document costs by up to 30% to 40%.
-
How does this help us with POPIA compliance?
Modern X-Corp print setups act as an encrypted perimeter to protect personal information from data leaks. Our intelligent document solutions support secure, PIN-activated or card-authenticated user logins, ensuring sensitive corporate documents are never left lying exposed on an open printer tray.
-
What happens if a printer breaks or runs out of toner?
You don't have to call us. Our systems proactively monitor your fleet. Toner is automatically dispatched before you hit 0%, and our helpdesk receives automated alerts for technical faults, often dispatching a technician before your team even reports the issue.
-
Can your scanning solutions integrate with our existing software?
Yes. We architect custom digital workflows that route scanned documents directly into your existing ERP, accounting software (like Sage or Xero), or cloud storage (SharePoint, Google Drive) using advanced OCR to make text instantly searchable.
