Is the RISO SF5030 digital duplicator the right fit for your workspace?

From forms, envelopes and leaflets to flyers and even teaching materials, the RISO SF5030 digital duplicator offers high quality (and high speed) printing regardless of the type of document you wish to print.

Together with their advanced eco credentials and a wide range of cost-reducing functions, these machines deliver a balance of benefits that provide ideal printing and duplicating solutions for offices and workspaces of all sizes.

Before we have a look at their benefits in more detail. Let's first answer the question..

What Are Risographs?

Risographs are digital duplicators (modern-day mimeograph machines or stencil printers). They deliver ‘perfect imperfections’ and provide a cheaper, environmentally conscious method for reproducing work in large quantities (like posters, prints and zines).

These duplicators are able to deliver some of the best colour and texture found in print and have essentially bridged the gap between a standard photocopier (which is cheaper up to about 50 copies) and an offset press (which is cheaper over roughly 10 000 copies).

Main Features of the RISO SF5030 Duplicator:

  • A4-size format
  • 20 seconds or less to create first copy
  • Print speed of 150 pages per minute
  • Paper capacity of approximately 1,000 sheets
  • User Friendly LCD screen operation
  • Zoom functions
  • Uses new Rice Bran ink
  • Network card option
  • Direct printing from USB
  • Energy Star Award assures energy efficiency

Benefits of the RISO SF5030 Duplicator:

1. Savings:

This digital duplicator makes prints from a master. As a result, the more pages generated from each master the lower the cost per print, making it highly economical for medium to high volume printing.

  • Energy Savings

Between 700-1000 watt, these RISO machines consume incredibly low amounts of power (even less than a hairdryer).

Standby, sleep mode plus and automatic power shut-off allow users to schedule when the printer is powered on and off.

  • Ink Savings

With a smart auto-colour mode, ink consumption is minimised when the printer detects the absence of colour.

  • Paper Savings

The blank page removal function reduces time, paper and running costs.

2. Ease of Use:

RISO SF5030 printers are incredibly easy to operate. With an LCD colour touch screen (much like a tablet) giving you access to customisable settings.

The RISO console is a total management system that improves convenience by integrating apps into one place. All products, consumables and system information can be checked easily on your PC.

3. RISO SF5030 Speed:

A conventional colour office printer will take around 25 minutes to print 1000 full-colour (single-sided) pages. The Riso SF5030 duplicator is able to do it in less than 7 minutes. Equipped with high-capacity feeders and stackers that allow for high-volume print runs to roll out both unattended and uninterrupted.

4. Advanced Security:

RISO works with a PIN code so only you can authorise confidential documents and view print jobs.

The RISO SF5030 offers enhanced security with an optional IC card activation kit. This allows only an authorized user to perform prints and is  effective in preventing divulging information from secret documents.

5. Quick Master Making Mode:

A new function of these duplicators, the speed priority mode, shortens the master-making time while still maintaining high image quality.

Achieving 1000 pages printed in approx. 8 minutes. This surprisingly rapid rate can effortlessly support heavy paperwork requirements.

6. Heavy-Load Paper Feeding:

The paper trays  of these duplicators have a capacity of 1000 sheets* for both feeding and receiving, which ensures uninterrupted printing over a much longer period.

7. High Quality Printing & Scanning:

  • The RISO SF series offers an improved resolution of 300 x 600 dpi for both scanning and printing, providing sharp and clear output with the highest image quality.
  • The newly designed scanner of the RISO SF Series attains smooth tonal gradation even with photo images.
  • The advanced image-processing function decreases image deterioration with improved image processing, delivering clearer output and higher quality results.
  • The RISO SF5030 offers four image processing modes: Line, Photo, Duo, and Pencil.

8. Risographs are Economically & Environmentally Friendly:

The SF series consumes 1/10th the energy, compared with energy star guidelines.

  • ENERGY STAR® qualified and RoHS certified
  • Complies with the ErP directive in Europe
  • Consumes less power and produces less heat
  • Energy-saving system

Rice Bran Oil Ink:

The use of rice bran oil ink instead of regular toner cartridges contributes to these duplicators environmental sustainability. Rice bran (which would otherwise go to waste, is a raw material with no VOCs, so after the oil is extracted for the ink. It can subsequently be used as fertilizer or even animal feed.

In Conclusion:

THE RISO SF5030 digital duplicator is a powerful, unique machine with a surprisingly rapid print rate, able to effortlessly support heavy paperwork requirements while remaining economically and environmentally conscious.
